ION Racing

ION Racing is a student organization at the University of Stavanger, where I study computer engineering. I joined ION Racing on one of my first days at UiS after me and a friend stumbled upon the ION team in the mechanical engineering garage, and helped them fix some small problems. After a while, I started working on various small tasks within the organization, mostly revolving around photoshop.

Previously, ION Racing had used a WordPress website provided by one of the early sponsors, and it was starting to look a bit dated. I was asked if I could make a new website, and I surely wanted to do that! However, I knew nothing about web development at the time, as all my previous experience was with backend languages like python.

As every programmer knows, the process of learning can certainly be a lot of fun, but learning completely new technologies comes with a lot of headaches. However, in the end, it is pretty much always worth it
